Volunteers play a vital role in the education of children in our school, but while we want to encourage parent and community involvement, we also want to assure the safety of all our children. To accomplish this, Union County Public Schools implemented a screening policy beginning last year for volunteers.
All volunteers, including those who go on field trips, must complete a volunteer application form, available in the school office. All information is confidential.
In addition, a notebook will be in the office with a sheet in it for each volunteer. When parents come to help, they will simply take one of the volunteer stickers in the book and sign in on their volunteer page.
